Portrait of poet David Hershhorn, smiling slightly, with glasses, a beard and long hair pulled back, wearing a gray button-down shirt

Please welcome David Hershhorn, an Ohio poet and editor of the horror poetry journal Fear in Dust, to the Duat project. David has researched and authored our Sakhu cards, spells inspired by the Book of the Dead and the Book of Thoth that every Akhu speaks aloud to empower the passengers of the MS Pharos. Follow his work at davidhershhorn.com.

Two Sakhu cards, The Sword and Red Faced, held aloft by ghostly hands above the golden Duat game mat, surrounded by candles in an Egyptian temple
Sakhu cards add an eerie realism to your role as a spell-speaking spirit.
